The Position
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our commercial division. Ideal candidates will have excellent communication and organizational skills, thrive at problem solving and have a customer focused mentality. Candidates must also be self-motivated, able to multi-task and work efficiently in a constantly changing environment.
The position will manage, coordinate, monitor and expedite the inbound and outbound flow of finished materials between departments and to or from our customers. The position is responsible for receiving, unpacking, verifying, and recording incoming merchandise or material. This position performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies as well as maintaining quality standards by approving incoming materials from suppliers.
This role is on-site, 5 days a week. Remote option is not available.
This role is Part-Time, approximately 29 hours or less per week.

- Examine materials and products, assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance for inventory accuracy.
- Process outgoing shipments via UPS WorldShip or 3rd Party.
- Complete final assembly and quality assurance on all equipment prior to packing.
- Coordinate daily shipments with Sales Support, Systems, and Production.
- Operate the department in a safe efficient manner to ensure quality products are going out as well as coming in.
- Responsible for shipping and order-picking inventory and maintaining security of finished product.
- Responsible for inventory management to ensure an adequate inventory of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.
- Ensure compliance with established ISO 9001 procedures and documentation requirements, while maintaining effective internal control over the physical product.
- Receives order requests for materials, fills orders and prepares proper paperwork.
- Verify incoming shipments, examine contents, and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
- Daily inspection of incoming materials.
- Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests, rejecting unacceptable materials.
- Route defective products or containments to Purchasing for disposition.
- Record quality results and will ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements for incoming raw materials and sub-assemblies only.
- Move inventory in Sage system.
- Assist auditors during corporate year-end audit.
- Maintain files, such as inventory values and cycle count variances.
- Record shipment data, such as damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accuracy, accounting and recordkeeping procedures.
- Responsible for storage of received goods.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Policies, Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
Education
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience
One to two years related experience in a shipping environment, manufacturing preferred
Computer Skills
- Intermediate MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- The ability to learn internal MiTek systems as needed
Other Requirements
- Ability to maintain inventory and organize/identify product
- Ability to follow through in a timely manner
- Ability to identify and resolve problems
- Ability to become forklift certified and drive a forklift
- Ability to submit CAPA’s
- Ability to use a ladder, personal lift, bander, scanner, pallet jack, calculator, scale, and calipers
Warehouse type environment - Loud, fast paced, and not always temperature controlled.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
